Splits is a community built on respect. These guidelines apply to everything you do on the platform — your profile and your behaviour at every experience. Joining Splits means agreeing to uphold them.
Be respectful
Treat every person at the table with dignity — regardless of their background, beliefs, or lifestyle. Good conversation starts with genuine respect.
Public venues only
Every Splits experience takes place in a public restaurant or venue. Never agree to meet another user at a private residence, home, or any non-public location.
Zero harassment
Harassment of any kind — verbal, physical, or digital — results in immediate and permanent removal. No warnings, no second chances.
Be who you say you are
Use your real first name and be honest in your profile. Fake profiles undermine the trust that makes Splits work.
Consent matters
Respect personal boundaries at all times. If someone signals discomfort — verbally or non-verbally — respond with immediate respect. No means no.
Show up or cancel
Other guests are counting on you. Cancel at least 2 hours before the experience if you can't attend. Repeated no-shows result in platform restrictions.
Be inclusive
Splits welcomes people of all backgrounds, cultures, nationalities, and identities. Discriminatory language or behaviour has no place at our tables.
Report concerns
If something feels wrong, use the in-app report function. All reports are confidential. We review every report.
18+ only
Splits is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. Any account found to belong to a minor will be permanently deleted immediately.
Food is the connector
Keep it social, not romantic. Splits is not a dating platform. Romantic solicitation directed at other users is a violation of these guidelines.
Zero tolerance violations — immediate removal
The following behaviours result in permanent account removal with no warning: harassment or threats, sexual solicitation, sharing another user's personal information without consent, deliberate impersonation, discriminatory abuse, and any behaviour that puts another person's safety at risk.
How to report a concern
All reports are treated confidentially. We review every report.
